4 REASONS WHY A COMMISSIONED ARTWORK MAY BE RIGHT FOR YOU
REASON #1: We all have that one place that means the world to us. I can create a one-of-a-kind fine art photograph that shows yours.
- Ryan and Kristenne got married in Key West and wanted a piece of art to commemorate their love for that special stretch of earth.
- Alice looks forward to the blossoming cherry trees in her West Seattle neighborhood each spring and wanted them to be part of her home year-round. So she asked me to photograph them for her.
- Randy has a vacation home in Northern Italy and was looking for a local scene that connects the place to its stunning surroundings — so he asked me to create that artwork for him.
REASON #2: Got a loved one who is just impossible to shop for when it comes to personal, meaningful gifts? How about we create a one-of-a-kind artwork just for them?
REASON #3: A personalized commission is also a great idea if you and your partner can't seem to agree on a piece of art.
REASON #4: With a commissioned piece of art, the opportunities are limitless — it all comes down to your imagination!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How much does a commissioned artwork cost?
Pricing depends on the scope of your project. For each commission, you'll receive two separate invoices. First, once we agree on a project, I charge a non-refundable production fee to cover things such as travel costs to actually photograph the scene you envision. Second, once you've chosen your favorite from the three image variations I provide, you'll receive a second invoice for the cost of the artwork itself (for an idea on art prices, take a look at the pieces available here in my online gallery).
Do you offer financing?
Yes, I do offer the same kind of financing options as on all of my artworks. When you pay the invoice, you can choose ShopPay Installments as your payment form. Click here to find out more about how to buy my art now and pay over time.
What if I don't like the piece you come up with?
You and I will work together every step of the process to ensure that the final piece meets (and likely exceeds) your expectations. That's why I offer you to choose from three different images of the scene you envision. You already love my art. Now we'll talk in depth about the image you envision. And then you get to choose from three different ones? That makes it all but impossible for you not to love the end result!
Can I return my artwork?
Please note that commissioned artworks are excluded from my regular 90-day, no-questions-asked return offer. Due to the personalized nature, commissioned artworks cannot be returned. That being said, I will work with you to make sure that the piece exceeds expectations. And, of course, in the unlikely event that the art arrives damaged through no fault of yours, I will replace it.
How long does it take for me to receive the commissioned artwork?
This depends on how quickly we can get all the details sorted out for me to actually go out and photograph the scene you envision. After the shoot, I will send you the three image variations to choose from within a few days. Once you've chosen, the production and shipping of the physical artwork right to your doorstep usually takes 4-6 weeks.
Will this really be a one-of-a-kind artwork or are you going to try and sell it elsewhere, too?
Absolutely! This will be a one-of-a-kind artwork that I won't ever sell anywhere else. The art will arrive with a signed and numbered Certificate of Authenticity stating that this is an edition of 1.
