THE STORY
Of all my time spent at altitude over the years, this moment was maybe THE high note so far. On the whim of passion and a favorable forecast, I had come here, in hopes that I would walk into the scene of my dreams. And indeed I did. Earlier in the day, Banff had woken up to the first snow of the season, so I grabbed my gear and headed up the mountain — chasing the vision of golden larches growing up snow-covered mountain sides.
