THE STORY

The first time we ever set foot on the island of Kauai, what stood out to us immediately were the vibrant colors. “They are the colors you’d use in a coloring book,” my wife Katie said as we marveled at their abundant perfection. In the Hawaiian language, ‘ike loa means “to see much”. It’s when the color and beauty around us come alive, and it’s a central tenet of the Aloha belief system. ‘Ike loa helps us see a world full of life, color, and depth - no matter who we are or where we are in life. It’s a conscious effort to appreciate the abundant beauty that surrounds us — and the understanding that we lead happier lives when we take a moment to notice it, when we take time to see much.
