The best times in life are those when my all-too-often tortured mind finds it impossible to be cynical about anything. This was one of those glorious moments when my soul roamed freely, in awe of this stunning ritual of springtime renewal in the Pacific Northwest. Walking amid countless rows of the most colorful tulips at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm near Portland, I felt like I was floating above all which up until a moment ago had tried to drag me down.
