THE STORY OF "LIFELONG LOVE"
As I watched these two horses rendezvous on a calm autumn’s morn after a passing storm, my hopelessly romantic heart oo-ed and aah-ed, witnessing such tender touch in a hardwired place. The tranquility of affection on magnificent display, I thought of Annie Dillard: Softness is vulnerable, but it has a will.
Here is to always being willing to cherish the beautiful moment, to be willingly vulnerable, to brush the hardness of life aside when all is right, if only for a while.
