THE STORY OF "STORIED PAST"
The American West’s greatest treasure is its untold depth of cultural ecotones, junctions where past lives and landscapes meet. Enshrined in stone upon stone, they are now unearthed by a new generation of rusticators. As we meander through western lands where time’s gradual pace preserves its tabernacle trails, we learn of the millennial, symbiotic existence of (wo)men and nature in these pastoral valleys. Stumbling upon the weathered, enigmatic remains of yesterday, whether serendipitous or conscious in nature, we are allowed the extraordinary: to reach across centuries and cultures.
Often, there we are left with more puzzling questions than answers. Here, we get to rekindle misspent imagination and curiosity as we seek to fill in the many riddling blanks. The stories slowly unveiled in these dry washes are what keeps the arc of time bending. Listening becomes dutiful privilege, knowledge a compassionate and caring call for truth. The power of yesterday is its story, told tomorrow.
